I have a variety of research and personal interests, and am constantly learning new things about the world. I am passionate about having a positive impact on the world. While I am fully aware that I will not be able to solve all of the world's problems, I want to do my part and hopefully impact the world in a meaningful way.

My love of economics began during my time as an undergraduate, when I took a class about behavioral economics. I quickly realized that using the economic way of thinking to try to make sense of the seemingly chaotic world around us fascinates me, and I decided to pursue a career in economics.

My wife Ruth and I live in Arlington, VA with our 2 golden retrievers (Sky and Ellie). We enjoy spending time outdoors, and often spend our weekends hiking and camping.
